Art has always had two main purposes in my life; I have used it as a kind of journal, to illustrate my inner thoughts and honour my life transitions, and I've used it as a means of celebrating the beauty and sacredness of the natural world around me. I have lived by the sea for most of my adult life, and so a recurring theme in my work has been the line where land and sea meet - that part of the land that is sometimes above water, sometimes below it, carved and caressed by the changing moods of the ocean. I also love making "shrines" and arrangements of natural materials in the woods and on the coastpaths around my home.

I work with a variety of media, as you'll see below. My work (apart from the cards) is not produced with selling in mind... it is often given to friends or kept in the family, but I do have an exhibition at least once a year when I have work for sale.
