Nurturing the NurturerWeekend courses facilitated by Claire Lucas in inspiring West Cornwall venues for parents, teachers, carers, healthcare workers and service providers who need a bit of “me” time.
Living in a society where we are often asked to do more than we feel able to do, we frequently feel stressed and overwhelmed with responsibility; we find ourselves nurturing others more than ourselves, or being too busy to take care of our fundamental needs. This workshop provides an opportunity to take some time out, time to reflect and to replenish. Using stillness, breath, time in nature, visualisation, collage and other creative exercises we will find our way back to our true essence; find ways to give visual expression to our feelings, clarify our intentions and redress the life/work balance. You will be given creative tools to help you connect more easily to your heart and soul; to feel your feelings, and to follow your dreams. Claire Lucas is an artist and art tutor who has 25 years experience of facilitating Arts for Health groups and creative and personal growth workshops in Cornwall. A mother to 2 grown-up children, with a pattern for taking on too much and being over-conscientious at work.....not to mention being an inveterate “rescuer”.....she has spent her adult life developing creative tools to bring a bit of peace and balance to her chaotic life. She is finally starting to practice what she preaches, and shares in this workshop some of these tools in the hope that they will support you on your life journey too! “It was just the right thing to do at the end of a long stretch of stress! What I enjoyed the most was having a day that was just about me. When you spend lots of time nurturing others there is a tendency to forget about yourself. So leaving it all behind and stepping into ME time was very refreshing, relaxing and a lot of fun. I left that day feeling full of warmth and positivity and an intention to look after myself in the best possible way” Rachel |
