The Art of Ceremony Workshops
Who are these workshops for?
Do you want to bring more creativity into your life? Do you long to discover the artist within you? Do you wish to find a way to creatively celebrate or mark a specific event or transition in your life? Anyone can attend an Art of Ceremony workshop, no matter how little - or much - experience they have of art or ceremony.....the only requirement is a willingness to open your heart and mind to your own individual creative process (even if, as yet, you don't think you have one!). You can also arrange to work one-to-one with me if you'd rather.
What will you do on these workshops?
These workshops are aimed to support your creative unfolding, to provide you with a new language; a way to give visual expression to your feelings. Working (or playing!) creatively can bring more heart and soul to your life. By using creativity in a ceremonial way we can add focus and potency to a celebration, a letting go, a time of change.
I use stillness, movement, breath, time in nature, visualisation, collage and other creative exercises to help you find the appropriate direction for your creativity. "Ceremony" can include the creation of a journal, a shrine, a quilt, wall-hanging or piece of environmental art, or simply an act of celebration. Media used in artworks varies from paint, pastel and paper collage to felt, stitch, fabric and found natural materials. Where specific ceremony or celebrations are created we will often also use words, music and movement.

Where are they, and how much do they cost?
Workshops are run for individuals and groups. They are held mostly in West Cornwall, based either at my house near Lands End, or at a wonderful venue between Lands End and Penzance.
Costs vary according to type of workshop:
- Ongoing evening workshops in Sennen : from £10/session (minimum commitment to 6 sessions)
- Day/weekend non-residential workshops : £40-£60 per person per day
- Catered accommodation can be arranged for participants coming from further afield.
- Individual, one-to-one guidance £30/hour
